Citibank Presents the BFNC Community Thanksgiving Dinner on November 21

Local Citibank and Citicorp Investment Services employees will join the Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers, Inc., to present a community Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, November 21 from noon to 8 p.m. at the BFNC Moot Senior Center, 292 High Street.

The annual tradition is now in its twenty-second year. Citibank has been the dinner's primary financial sponsor since 1993, contributing $2,000 this year to purchase all food and supplies.

"We couldn't undertake this dinner without Citibank's support," said Jan Peters, BFNC's executive director. "Their commitment has been outstanding on both the financial and volunteer side of it. Together, we're looking forward to welcoming up to 1,000 guests throughout the afternoon."

The Buffalo-Niagara Marriott has also returned as a sponsor, and will cook all the turkeys for the dinner. Coordinators say there will be live music throughout the day, highlighted by a jazz/blues performance by Breakthru during the noon senior citizens' serving. The performance is sponsored by the Community Music School through its community concert series (with funds from the City of Buffalo, the Arts Council of Buffalo & Erie County and the New York State Council on the Arts).
