Treatment Apartments

This housing program, licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health, focuses on promoting maximum independence. It serves as a preparation for independent community living, with a goal of empowerment and self-reliance.

BFNC offers two types of Treatment Apartment Programs.

Fruit Belt Towers

The program serves as a preparatory step before the individual moves to a more independent level of housing. Residents do their own shopping, prepare meals, and manage their independent living, with the guidance and support of staff. The focus is on empowerment and establishing self-reliance.

Treatment Apartments

The Scattered Site Treatment Apartment Program provides individuals with the opportunity to reside in an apartment within the city of Buffalo.

This program offers the most independence in the licensed housing program. An emphasis is placed on increasing personal initiative and self-reliance. Staff make routine visits and are available 24 hours a day in case of an emergency.
