Since 1986 BFNC’s Community Residence Program has been fulfilling the goal of empowering individuals who have mental illness with the skills to become full and contributing members of their communities.
NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) Licensed Community Residences offer staff support while encouraging and providing services that lead to independence. Residence Clients receive 24-hour on-site staffing, meals, support, advocacy and recovery-oriented services. Activities outside the residential setting include recovery programs, academic and vocational programs, and competitive and non-competitive employment.
A single site licensed treatment housing program that provides on-site staffing, support, advocacy and recovery-oriented services.
The program offered serves as a preparatory step before the consumer begins independent living in a scattered site community apartment. The focus is on empowerment and establishing self-reliance.

This housing program licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health offers the highest level of independence. The program is designed as a preparatory step before independent community living. The focus is on empowerment and establishing self-reliance. Trained staff is available 24-hours and they make weekly visits.
Supportive Scattered Site Housing
An unlicensed New York State of Mental Health program that provides affordable and safe permanent housing for low-income consumers. Individuals receive a furnished apartment, linkage to a network of supportive resources and advocacy.
