FREE Tax Preparation Assistance

Description
Provides free in-person tax preparation for income eligible taxpayers.

PROGRAM IS VOLUNTEER OPERATED. Your patience and kindness are appreciated.

*** No multi-year tax returns will be prepared until after March 1st, 2023.

**If a client is more than 5 minutes late to their appointment, they must forfeit the appointment.

Eligibility – Individuals with household income of $58,000 or less.

• Tax Information such as Forms W-2, 1099, 1098, 1095.
• Social security cards or ITIN letters for all persons on your tax return.
• Picture ID (such as valid driver’s license) for you and your spouse.
• A WORKING TELEPHONE NUMBER or NUMBERS. We may need to call you to move the process.

Required items for your appointment.
  1. Bring copies of your Photo ID cards of Taxpayer & Spouse if filing Joint Return.
  2. Bring copies of the Social Security cards of all people on the Tax return.
  3. Copies of your W-2s for each job held in 2021 for each person in the household, this form reports your name, wages, and other tax information to the IRS.
  4. 1099’s showing either:
  • Unemployment Income
  • Social Security Income
  • State tax refund
  1. IRS Letter 6419 – Proof of Advance Child Tax Credit Payments
  2. IRS Letter 14444-C – 2021 Economic Impact Payment – Federal Stimulus Payments
  3. 1095-A if you received credit from the healthcare.govmarket place.
  4. Income/interest statements received savings accounts or investments.
  5. For direct deposits – a valid bank account and bank routing number must be provided.

  • We will collect your tax documents
  • We will process your tax return remotely
  • We will Call you with any questions.  A CURRENT TELEPHONE NUMBER IS IMPORTANT
  • You will receive an appointment to return in 7 days to pick up your completed tax returns.
