    BFNC FALL FEST 2026! THE COMMUNITY FUN and THE OPPORTUNTIES FOR COMMUNITY VENDORS

    The Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers (BFNC) is excited to host our annual Fall Fest on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 5:30–8:00 PM at 76 Orange Street, Buffalo, NY.

    This free community celebration brings families together for an evening of fun and wellness. Activities will include pony rides, face painting, health and wellness vendors, DJ music, great food, and more. The event provides a meaningful opportunity for organizations like yours to connect with families, share resources, and strengthen community partnerships.

    BFNC: SUPPORTING COMMUNITY! Health & Wellness Fair Friday August 22!

    The Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers (BFNC) believes that, as a good community neighbor, a focus on assisting community members remains a mission.

    “Our community outreach team alerts us to the needs. BFNC continues to focus on how the agency can help residents overcome life obstacles,” stated Chandra Redfern, BFNC CEO.

    Redfern added, “BFNC will continue to serve the needs of community members through our services and programs.”

    BFNC’s upcoming programs are designed to help fill some of the needs of community members. The Community is invited to:

    •The BFNC Weekly Food Pantry – Opened Thursday and Friday from 11 am to 1:00 pm BFNC Neighborhood House 76 Orange Street

    •The monthly “Mommy Matters” Dinner and Conversations evenings. The next one is on August 18th.

    •August 22 is the Community Health and Wellness Fair at 2365 Main St. – Activities that provide a guide and uplift Community Members including live music, wellness information, health screenings, free food, backpack giveaway and more!

    •September 15- A YOUTH CONVERSATION with Presentation at the BFNC Moot Center- Registration Required. PLEASE CALL 716-852-5065 EXT. 100.

    •September 27- A “Mommy Matters” luncheon for mothers and their children – 11:00 am -2:00 p.m.- Registration Required

    •October 3rd – Attend the annual Fall Fest@ at 76 Orange St. – A community event that celebrates community. Various activities, delicious food (while supplies last), and music.

    The Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers to Honor Good Neighbors Who Make a Community Impact

    Every Year at the BFNC Annual Summer Solstice Fundraiser they host an Awards  Ceremony to say Thank you to 5 Community Builders – Our Buffalo Neighbors – who are impacting the Buffalo Community.

    Chandra Redfern, BFNC CEO explains why a Summer Celebration. “The summer season can bring optimism and hope for the future. We look forward to community members coming together to focus on the positive and celebrate the community work that has made an impact,” stated Chandra Redfern, BFNC CEO. 

    CREATING A CULTURE OF COMMUNITY – WHY NEIGHBORS ARE IMPORTANT:
    The Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers (BFNC) is a community-based agency with over 130 years of collaborative service to Buffalo residents. The agency’s history is rooted in helping neighbors.  Neighbors, our community members, are the ones who make up a great city.  BFNC believes that we all have a responsibility to help lift those in need of care overcoming life obstacles.  Redfern adds that each community member can help a person in need in their neighborhood. We can all start with one neighbor! This call to action can create a chain reaction that can impact the entire community.

     

    LET’S CELEBRATE!
    The agency invites the community to celebrate the beginning of the summer season, and 5 Community Leaders who embrace the BFNC’s mission of Unlocking Potential and Enriching Lives. Funds from this event will be directed to implement programming to uplift and assist community youth with developing the skills and knowledge needed to reach their desired success and seniors with healthy food and transportation needs.

    Attendees will enjoy a summer evening overlooking the Buffalo Waterfront, A chance to win great prizes during the annual raffle, dancing to the sounds of a live band and DJ, tasty hors d’oeuvres, and drinks. Tickets can be purchased at http://bfncsolstice24.givesmart.com.

    The BFNC New CEO, Chandra Redfern is inviting the community to a Conversation about the Fruit Belt neighborhood.  BFNC, an agency founded and located in the Fruit belt, would like to hear the thoughts and visions of neighbors about community and share information about BFNC services that can help community residents.

    IV. A Workshop Series for SENIORS, CAREGIVERS and COMMUNITY RESIDENTS based upon The Age Mastery Programs (AMP) created by the National Council on Aging.  The workshop series review pathways that help you create a manageable plan for living your best life.
